Eight injured in Roselle accident
At least seven cars were invovled in an accident on Lake Street in Roselle that took eight people to the hospital.
The multiple car accident took place around 8 p.m. on the eastbound lanes of Lake Street, near Rosedale Avenue.
Fire officials said the accident was due to the slick roads after the snowfall earlier in the evening.
The two eastbound lanes of Lake Street were shut down for about an hour while patients were transported.
Four people were taken to Glen Oaks in Glendale Heights, and four others were taken to Central DuPage Hospital in Winfield.
Ambulances from the Roselle, Bloomingdale, Addison and Itasca fire departments all assisted. Most of the transports were precautionary, fire officials said.
