Pedestrian killed by train in Naperville

A Chicago-bound train struck and killed a pedestrian Friday afternoon in Naperville, authorities said.

The incident occurred about 12:30 p.m. near the downtown Naperville station, 105 E. 4th Ave., Metra spokesman Tom Miller said.

The Burlington Northern Santa Fe train 1266 was canceled. The passengers were able to take the next train that left Aurora at 2:20 p.m.
