Mt. Prospect home invasion
Mount Prospect police are searching for information regarding an apparent home invasion that took place in the 300 block of South Leonard Tuesday afternoon. Officer Bill Roscop said the female homeowner entered her house from her backyard just before 2 p.m. to find two females standing in her dining room. The homeowner screamed, Roscop said, prompting the women to flee through the front door. He said the homeowner and a neighbor who heard the scream chased the pair and saw them get into a black or gray SUV parked and running at the corner of Leonard and White Oak Drive. A male was driving the SUV. No further description was available of the man or the two female offenders. No one was injured in the chase or the home invasion. Roscop said anyone with information should contact police at (847) 870-5656.
