Two injured in morning accident on Randall Road near Algonquin

Two men were injured following an early morning crash Friday on Randall Road on the border between Algonquin and Lake in the Hills, officials said.

Police said a northbound Nissan sedan was attempting to turn left on Algonquin Road when it collided with a Dodge truck traveling south on Randall Road.

Two men were transported area hospitals with nonlife-threatening injuries at about 5:50 a.m.

Westbound Algonquin Road was shut down for about 30 minutes at Crystal Lake Road, police said.

Police have not released the names involved, but said citations are pending.

The municipal border of Lake in the Hills and Algonquin meet at that intersection.
