Chicago author speaks at Books Between Bites

Batavia's Books Between Bites welcomes Chicago author Beth Finke, to the monthly program at noon Thursday at Batavia Public Library, 10 S. Batavia Ave.

Finke, formerly of Geneva, will discuss her latest book, "Hanni & Beth: Safe & Sound," in which Finke's own Seeing Eye dog, Hanni, explains her important job. Finke and Hanni will lead the session together, demonstrating the rewards of teamwork, animal companionship, and perseverance.

Finke is an NPR commentator, a memoir teacher for Chicago's Commission on Aging, and a part-time blog moderator for Easter Seals Headquarters. In 2005, she visited Books Between Bites to talk about her memoir "Long Time, No See." Copies of Finke's books will be available for purchase and signing. Learn more about Beth and Hanni at the Web site: www.bethfinke.com.
