Why should Obama get a break?

This is in response to Greg Newlin's Jan. 13 Fence Post letter. Why? Why should Mr. Obama be given a break? The Bush haters started in on day one. They still spew their venom when the man is almost out of office. I have never in my life seen such intense hate by the liberals toward one person. They ignore any accomplishments and intensify any failings. How dare he speak of fairness. Mr. Obama will be my president and even though I didn't vote for him, I hope he does a wonderful job because this is my country and I want it to succeed.

However, Mr. Obama has already begun spinning on some things. In addition, according to Carol Marin, a longtime Chicago journalist, Mr. Obama picks who he will allow to ask questions at news conferences, and the others don't even bother to raise their hands anymore. Ms. Marin rightly questions whether Mr. Bush would have gotten away with something like that. So much for fairness.
