Get the facts before sending hate mail

This letter is to the gentleman who keeps sending me anonymous hate letters regarding my editorials.

No, I am not a Muslim. In fact I an a Protestant. Perhaps if you send me your name and address I could send a Christmas card. Nativity scenes are my favorite.

You tell me to go back to where I came from. That would be a short trip as I was born on Chicago north side (although I like the Sox). I also don't want to move to Hyde Park with Obama only because I couldn't afford the rent there. It can be pretty ritzy.

I am an honorably discharged veteran of the United States Navy and when I took my enlistment oath it was not to the president but to the Constitution of the United States. The Constitution ensures the right to peacefully disagree with our elected leaders as I have done regarding George Bush.

I have also studied Middle East and American history at DePaul University, so have at least a modicum of knowledge on the subject. Actually I was thinking that you should write your own articles to the Herald. You are obviously very articulate as the colorful language in your letters prove. Peace bro.
