Today is Leap Day, and as tradition holds, Feb. 29 is the one magical day when a woman may propose marriage to her significant other.

Wine specials leap into Café Matou
Café Matou at 1846 N. Milwaukee Ave., Chicago celebrates Leap Year today with specially priced wines from past leap years.
The Leap Year wines include 2004 Viognier, Jean-Luc Colombo and 2000 Fronsac, Chateau Les Roches de Ferrand.
The wines will be specially priced at $29 per bottle and will be offered with classic French cuisine.

Sake is the order of the day
Guests can sample different grades of sake and learn how they are made from 5 to 7 p.m. today at Ai Japanese Restaurant, 358 W. Ontario St., Chicago.
Sake is a rice-based Japanese alcoholic drink.

Prairie Grass Café at 601 Skokie Blvd., in Northbrook, is offering weekend "Egging Up For Easter" brunch special featuring local farm fresh egg dishes.
The brunch specials run on Saturdays and Sundays beginning March 1 and running through March 23, with a special Easter brunch.
