Two Ryans helped Blagojevich

Packaging a product with the right name or hyping a political hopeful with the proper presentation to the public is uppermost in the mind of advertising executives. However, none were to be found when Gov. Rod Blagojevich ran his campaign pledging to root out the corruption of ex-Gov. George Ryan. Unfortunately, it would be another Ryan who was chosen to run against Blagojevich. It was former DuPage County State's Attorney Jim Ryan, and for the electorate, another person with the same Ryan surname only proved to be guilt by same-name association and an easy win for Blagojevich.
