Praising candidate's stance on English
Even though I'm not a resident of Wauconda, I applaud board candidate Mark Kwasigroch for standing up and voicing his opinion which is held by many that it's time organizations (companies, governments, etc) stop catering to our immigrants to the south because they feel no need to learn the language of "Our Land:" English. If I were a resident of Wauconda, I would without a doubt vote for Mr. Kwasigroch.
Why must government entities spend the extra monies to put documents, records, notices in Spanish? What about those living in Wauconda or elsewhere who are Polish, Italian, German, etc., just to name a few. Why are documents not printed for their language? When an immigrant comes to this country, it is their responsibility to assimilate into the English language. It seems that our government entities say to all other nationalities outside of Spanish that you must learn our language but for the Spanish folks, we will cater to you and put things into your language. Would the Mexican government do this for us? Not on their dime.
Good luck to Mr. Kwasigroch and I hope he wins his bid for village board candidate in Wauconda.
