LeAnn Rimes to headline country music festival
Mega Winterfest 2009 is a two-day, high-energy country music festival, being held Friday and Saturday, Jan. 16 and 17, at the Pheasant Run Mega Center, 4051 E. Main St. in St. Charles. The host will be GAC's Storme Warren. GAC will be filming both days for its program, Country Music Across America.
The event will feature some of Nashville's hottest artists like LeAnn Rimes, Jason Aldean and One Flew South. US99's Drew Walker will broadcast live from Pheasant Run from 3 to 7 p.m. Friday.
Tickets for Winterfest range from $49 to $89 for one day or $79 to $159 for two-day combo tickets. Tickets are available through Ticketmaster at ticketmaster.com or the Pheasant Run box office at (630) 584-6342.
On Friday, the lineup includes Jason Aldean, Kelli Picker from "American Idol," Joe Nichols, Julianne Hough from "Dancing with the Stars," The Lost Trailers, The Road Hammers and One Flew South. Doors open at 5 p.m. with the concert starting at 6 p.m.
On Saturday, performers include Grammy Award winner LeAnn Rimes, Phil Vassar, Darryl Worley, Trent Tomlinson, Jonathon Singleton and more. Doors open at 4 p.m.
Don't forget to check out the US99.5 after-party hosted by Walker from 11 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. Saturday. Jimmy Wayne is scheduled to sign autographs at the after party. Special guests will be Cross County Junction.
