More antennas coming:

The Mundelein village board will decide tonight whether to allow three communications antennas on the water tower at 169 N. Seymour Ave. A company called Denali Spectrum Operations has requested permission for the antennas. The Lake County Department of Transportation also wants to install a telecommunications antenna at the water tower at 1601 Winchester Road, Mundelein. That, too, is up for discussion tonight. The meeting is at 7 p.m. at the main fire station, 1000 N. Midlothian Road.

Gurnee police said the effort is possible because of grants received from the Illinois Department of Transportation and National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. Part of the effort will involve officers focusing on open transportation of alcohol, zero tolerance for those under the legal drinking age of 21, speeding and safety restraint usage.
