Intruder steals Park Ridge woman's jewelry
A masked intruder entered a Park Ridge woman's house and stole the jewelry she was wearing Tuesday, police said.
The home invasion occurred about 3:30 p.m. on the 1400 block of Dee Road.
The robber knocked on the woman's door, identified himself as a city worker and then forced his way inside, police said in a news release.
He stole the 91-year-old woman's jewelry and then fled on foot.
