Food drive contest at Schaumburg High School benefits local pantry
As part of a transcendentalism unit, the Schaumburg High School Social Studies department planned a canned food drive contest between American Studies classes, benefiting the Schaumburg Food Pantry.
More than 3,000 items were collected in four days by five classes participating, with Kelly Lagioia's and Jamie Wedoff's American Studies class winning the contest.
All items were donated to the Schaumburg Food Pantry on Nov. 23.
