Nestled among country landscapes just east of Woodstock, Roslin Reserve at the Sanctuary of Bull Valley offers 85 luxury homes with distinctive architecture and craftsmanship.

The Roslin Homes community consists of 300 acres with mature trees, wetlands and open green space.

Situated on the north side of McConnell Road, the community features 13 different floor plans with three to five bedrooms and 2½ to 4½ baths, each with a full basement and optional three-car garage.

Two professionally decorated model homes are open for tours.

"We want to be known for our architecture and value, which can be difficult to accomplish at the same time. But after looking at our models, we believe guests will say mission accomplished," said William Ryan, president of Roslin Homes.

One of the two featured model homes is the Sonoma, priced from $384,990 with 3,219 square feet, four bedrooms, 3½ baths, finished basement and optional three-car garage.

Decorated by Sue Munro, senior designer with Carole Eichen Interiors Inc. in Santa Ana, Calif., this model home has an Italian Tuscan decor with a cobalt blue, topaz, bronze and midnight color scheme.

The home's foyer makes a strong first impression with its Brazilian cherry flooring that flows through most of the main level.

Situated in a private spot in the front of the home, the study with midnight blue walls and wood-beamed ceiling has a warm, cozy feel.

Also off the foyer, the dining room features a formal setting for six and a buffet table topped with marble. Deep gold-toned walls and blue velvet draperies give the room a regal look.

Bronze and cobalt blue furnishings contrast with Brazilian cherry floors in the family room with its oversized windows. An entertainment center, masonry fireplace, artwork and several plants complete the room.

In the kitchen, cherry cabinets topped with blue pearl granite combine for a stunning look. A huge island has an overhang for a breakfast bar. There are also top-of-the-line stainless steel appliances and a breakfast table overlooking the outdoor patio.

Off the garage and back-door entry, there's a coat closet, mud area and laundry room with cabinets and sink.

The second level houses four bedrooms and three full baths. The master bedroom suite features a tray ceiling finished with crown molding. Dark wood furnishings include a big four-poster bed and plaid lounge chair. His-and-hers walk-in closets provide plenty of space.

The private bath with vaulted ceiling features a travertine tile floor, dual-bowl vanity, oversized soaker tub and separate shower.

A full hall bath serves two of the bedrooms outfitted for teenagers, while the other large bedroom is a private mother-in-law suite with its own sitting area and full-size bath.

Other floor plans offered at the community include the Alexander, from $368,990 with 3,048 square feet; the Cambria, from $370,990 with 3,030 square feet; the Millbrook, from $374,990 with 3,081 square feet; the Preston, from $388,490 with 3,513 square feet; the Arboretum, from $389,990 with 2,910 square feet; and the Oakville, from $409,490 with 3,806 square feet.
