Allstate sees chance for more customers

NORTHBROOK -- Allstate Corp., the second-largest U.S. auto insurer, will have "more flexibility" to raise rates as competitors stop cutting prices, Chief Executive Officer Thomas Wilson said Wednesday. The insurer may add customers at a faster pace this year as rivals increase prices in response to higher accident costs, he said at a conference in New York.
