Another case of pols putting selves first

It is reported that Mr. Blagojevich is eligible for a pension of more than $64,000 at age 55. Why? Most state employees are not eligible for a pension until age 60 unless they have 30 years or more of service. They would not receive a pension of almost 30% based on only 9 years service. Remember George Ryan was getting over 100% of his salary before they took it away. If the legislature is serious about pension reform they can start with their own. This is just another example of our elected officials taking care of themselves first.
