Thanks for help with food drive

A big thank you to all the volunteers and all the citizens of Wauconda and Island Lake who so generously donated to our Make A Difference Day Food Drive at the Peace & Justice Ministry of Transfiguration Church.

Also thanks to Jewel Food Store and Island Lake Foods for allowing the use of their facilities.

We collected about 3,000 pounds of food and $368 in cash, which will feed approximately 100 families for two months.

The people at the Food Pantry were delighted.
