Radio host to speak at Discovery Museum

Radio host and Beatles expert Terri Hemmert will be at the Lake County Discovery Museum from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. Dec. 5 to explore the “Give Peace a Chance “ exhibit and share stories and answer questions about the Beatles.

The tour is free with admission to the museum, located on Route 176 just west of Fairfield Road in the Lakewood Forest Preserve near Wauconda.

Admission is $6 for adults, $3 for seniors ages 55 and older and students ages 18 to 25, and $2.50 for youth ages four to 17.

The exhibit features stories and photographs from John Lennon and Yoko Ono's 1969 Montreal Bed-In for Peace; a re-creation of their hotel room; an interactive The Beatles: Rock Band stage; and a wishing tree where visitors can share their wishes for peace.
