Blackhawks trim roster to 26
The Blackhawks have assigned forwards Kyle Beach, Igor Makarov, Brandon Pirri and Ben Smith, and defenseman Brian Connelly to the American Hockey League's Rockford IceHogs.
Chicago's training camp roster now stands at 26 active players, which includes 14 forwards, 9 defensemen and three goaltenders. An updated training camp roster is attached.
The Blackhawks play their second home game of the 2010 preseason on Friday night at 7:00 P.M. (CT) when they host the Pittsburgh Penguins at the United Center.
