Outlook: With Joliet Catholic looming next week, Benet knows the importance of getting to five wins this week and with a comfortable 37 playoff points already pretty much sealing a playoff spot for the first time since 2006. The Redwings are coming off a big ESCC win that featured running back E.J. Howe notching 290 rushing yards and 4 touchdowns. The Redwings get an extra boost by the return from injury of quarterback Nick Mankowski. Receiver Connor Nelligan, who has caught 33 passes for 491 yards and 9 touchdowns, should be even more effective. Benet coach Pat New calls two-way lineman Jeff Schmittgens the team's unsung hero.
