Schaumburg party benefits special recreation association

Don and Cathy Kauffold are throwing a party Saturday night at Ram Restaurant & Brewery in Schaumburg to benefit the Northwest Special Recreation Association.

The Ram, at 1901 McConnor Parkway, will donate 10 percent of all sales between 8 and 11 p.m. Oct. 23 to the Northwest Special Recreation Association. The soul and rock band The Bart Alonzo Group will perform. A raffle to win an Apple iPad or a Chicago Blackhawks jersey signed by Patrick Kane and other prizes also will benefit NWSRA.

The Kauffolds said they are throwing the party because NWSRA programs for special needs kids have been a big source of fun and personal growth for their son Vance over the years.
