Bears' Briggs, Clark probable for season opener

Linebacker Lance Briggs and tight end Desmond Clark both practiced Friday with ankle injuries and are listed as probable on the injury report.

Safety Craig Steltz (ankle) who also practiced, is questionable.

The Bears are as healthy as they've been since the first week of training camp.

"That's all you can really ask for," coach Lovie Smith said. "You have this plan of who you want at every position playing in that first game and going throughout the season. And for us, we're going to have all of those guys on the football field. That's the best position we can be in right now."

For the Lions, middle linebacker DeAndre Levy (groin) did not practice and is doubtful. Safety Louis Delmas (groin) was limited at practice and is questionable.
