Dist. 220 adopts new budget
Barrington Unit District 220 Tuesday adopted a $119.8 million budget which left little room for additional operating expenses.
The board cautioned the administration that it must avoid any deficits that would be caused by spending beyond the $121 million in projected revenues for the year. In the spring the board approved $3.3 million in budget cuts to prevent a funding shortfall.
But in order to maintain that goal, an estimated $2.8 million in further cuts are predicted to be necessary in the 2011-2012 budget.
