Flamm the voice of reason district needs

Suzie Bassi is about to end her sixth term as state representative of the 54th District. Suzie has been a moderate voice in Springfield for the past 12 years. In many of the past six elections, she ran unopposed. I respect her and would like to thank her for serving our community faithfully since being elected in 1998.

This year with the upset of Suzie losing her slot in the general election, we in the 54th District have an important decision to make. The new Republican candidate, Tom Morrison, is not the moderate voice of reason for us, he is an extremist who would like to see reductions in government.

These cuts would result in the loss of many services we rely upon. Many in his own party are uncomfortable with his positions on important issues.

I believe Matt Flamm is the voice of reason and the best choice to represent our district. Matt has lived in our community for 23 years. As a small-business owner for over 20 years he knows how to be fiscally responsible and manage a budget.

I believe that Matt will bring his sound business ideas to Springfield to make our government run smarter without the loss of municipal services we rely on for the protection and education of our families.
