Schallmo, 21, of the 1700 block of Norwood Avenue, Itasca, was arrested around 8:25 p.m. Sept. 5 at Schaumburg Fest, 101 Schaumburg Court, and charged with battery. Reports said he punched a man running a shooting gallery game. A court date is Sept. 29.bull; Bethany L. Meza, 29, of the 300 block of North Avenue, Carpentersville, was arrested around 1:55 a.m. Sept. 5 at John Barleycorn restaurant, 1100 American Lane, and charged with three counts of battery, resisting arrest and theft. Reports said she pulled a man's diamond ring off his finger and kept it, pulled a woman's hair, and scratched two officers during the arrest. Her court date is Oct. 18.bull; Dennis R. Verges, 32, of the 300 block of South Liberty, Elgin, was arrested around 1:45 a.m. Sept. 4 at John Barleycorn restaurant, 1100 American Lane, and charged with battery. Reports said he was intoxicated, pushed patrons, scratched a security guard on the face and pulled his tie off. His court date is Oct. 18.bull; Susana Velazquez, 35, of the 1900 block of Algonquin Road, Mount Prospect, was arrested around 9:20 p.m. Sept. 3 at Lord Taylor in Woodfield Shopping Center and charged with retail theft and contributing to the delinquency of a child. Reports said she hid five bracelets, two earrings, two charms, three necklaces, and a dress in her purse and in her daughter's purse. Value was estimated at $951. Her court date is Oct. 18.bull; Mia May Cano, 23, of the 300 block of East Beech Drive, Schaumburg, was arrested around 7:10 p.m. Sept. 3 at Macy's in Woodfield Shopping Center and charged with retail theft. Her court date is Oct. 18.bull; Three men stole gold jewelry valued at $2,000 from a couple in their home on the 300 block of South Glenridge Lane around 4:30 p.m. Sept. 1. One of the offenders distracted the couple by talking to them on their patio while the other two men stole the jewelry. They fled in a white sedan.bull; Burglars stole a laptop computer, iPod, and gift card out of a 2000 Toyota Camry in an apartment garage on the 100 block of Bar Harbour Road between 9 p.m. Sept. 2 and 8:15 a.m. Sept. 3. Value was estimated at $1,400. During the same time and in the same garage, burglars stole a GPS and charger out of a 2006 Honda Civic. Value was estimated at $300.bull; Burglars stole a video-game player valued at $150 out of an apartment on the 1000 block of North Plum Grove Road between 2 and 4 p.m. Sept. 4, while the victim was washing clothes in the lower-level laundry room.
