Schaumburg still the right place for him
People write fan letters to their favorite athletes and their favorite movie stars because they feel admiration for those famous people. Today I'd like to write a fan letter to the Village of Schaumburg for the same reason - admiration.
On Aug. 15, 1970, my late father, Dr. Emanuel Uditsky and I opened a dental practice in the old Town Square Shopping Center located at Schaumburg and Roselle Roads. My dad had practiced in Chicago since 1935 and we were eager to move to an area with real potential for future growth.
Woodfield Shopping Center and our practice opened within weeks of each other. In fact, it was the advertising for Woodfield Shopping Center that drew me to Schaumburg. In 1982 I relocated my office to what is now the Harper Professional Building at 650 E. Higgins Road.
Serving patients from the greater Schaumburg area has been a genuine privilege. In our practice, we consider patients to be members of our extended family. It is especially rewarding when patients put the oral health of their children and grandchildren in our hands and allow us to serve multiple generations of families.
In the past four decades the growth and expansion of the Village has been remarkable. Sharing in the bounty that this growth brought to the area has been a blessing for me, my staff and my family - and we are grateful.
So, Mister President (Al Larson), this won't be the kind of fan letter where I ask for an autographed picture. But again I do want to express admiration to the Village and to you and your predecessors for making Schaumburg a place to find a fine business opportunity and even finer people,
Dr. Daniel N. Uditsky
