Pantries should include pet food

These days when pet shelters are overwhelmed with pets that owners have had to give up due to lack of funds for food and care, I find it difficult to believe that there are no arrangements for food pantries and animal shelters to include pet food for the needy. The closest place I could find to donate pet food is in Palatine, and there are only three or four in the Northwest suburbs. There are none in Hoffman Estates or Schaumburg. If there were more around it would be nice if they were advertised.

Let's make an effort to take care of the four-legged members of our families and keep them at home.
