Stevenson High warns of phony fundraiser

A group seeking financial donations in the name of Stevenson High School is doing so without authorization, school officials announced Monday.

The organization has been soliciting local businesses, asking for donations ranging from $325 to $1,100 to sponsor can coolers. The group has been using a photo of the Stevenson cheerleading squad as part of its pitch, officials said.

Lincolnshire police are investigating.
