EGHS goes global for this year's Homecoming Week
This year's Homecoming Week for the Elk Grove High School Grenadiers (Sept. 26-Oct. 2) is "Around the World," celebrating each day with a theme reflecting different spots on the globe.
There will be many changes in events and activities this year, to give the spirit-filled week a fresh makeover.
Among these changes is the inauguration of "Class Cup," which serves as an incentive for students to participate in Homecoming activities.
Points will be awarded for wearing class color shirts, for attending games, cheering for the sports teams, and being present at other events. The class with the most points will win the Class Cup, which will be announced at Homecoming Coronation.
The week is jam-packed with events, starting on Sunday, Sept. 26, when the Class Boards will participate in hallway decorating from noon to 7 p.m.
On Sept. 27, "Tropical Island Monday," students will wear Hawaiian shirts and appropriate beachwear. The Kickoff Classic will begin at 6:30 p.m. in the stadium.
