Register to vote by Oct. 5
Kane County Clerk John A. Cunningham reminds Kane County residents that the last day to register to vote for the Nov. 2 General Election is Tuesday, Oct. 5.
Grace period registration will be available in the Kane County Clerk's Office only Wednesday, Oct. 6, until Tuesday, Oct. 26.
The county clerk's office is open for registration from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. In addition, most libraries, municipal and township offices in Kane County do accept registrations. Registration will resume Thursday, Nov. 4.
The Kane County Clerk's Voter Registration office is in Building B at the Kane County Government Center, 719 S. Batavia Ave. (Route 31), Geneva.
To register, a person must be a United States citizen, 18 years old on or before the date of the election, a resident of the precinct for 30 days before the election, and provide two forms of identification, one of which shows a current name and address.
