Septemberfest bands named

The Buckinghams, Foghat and Gin Blossoms will be the main stage musical acts at Schaumburg's 40th anniversary Septemberfest this Labor Day weekend.

The Buckinghams will perform 8:30-10 p.m. Sept. 4; Foghat from 8:30-10 p.m. Sept. 5; and Gin Blossoms from 7:30-9 p.m. Sept. 6 on the village's municipal grounds at 101 Schaumburg Court. Opening acts include The Ides of March, featuring Jim Peterik, 6-7:30 p.m. Sept. 4; 7th Heaven from 6-7:15 p.m. Sept. 5 and Second Time Around from 5-6:15 p.m. Sept. 6. A fireworks display will follow the Foghat show at 10 p.m. Sept. 5.

Admission to Septemberfest is free. Carnival rides, food and games run throughout the three-day event. Fest hours: 10 a.m.-10 p.m. Sept. 4; 9 a.m.-10 p.m. Sept. 5; 9 a.m.-9 p.m. Sept. 6.
