St. Charles Rotary awards scholarships

St. Charles Noon Rotary Club recently announced its seven college scholarship award winners at its weekly lunch meeting on Aug. 12. Each of the scholarship winners received a check for $2,000 to assist with college expenses. During the meeting, the four winners present spoke about their college plans and thanked the club members for their scholarships.

The scholarship winners, their high schools and colleges/universities are: Roxanne Gajewski, St. Charles North (Elmhurst College); Sharon McInerney, adult student (Elgin Community College); Ryan Royer, St. Charles North (Illinois State University); Emily Selin, St. Charles North (Marquette University); Esther Farler-Westphal, St. Charles East (Richmond, The American University in London); Anum Hussain, St. Charles North (University of Illinois at Chicago); and Mark Steven Streich, St. Charles East (Northern Illinois University).

The St. Charles Noon Rotary Club is about service, fellowship, and networking. Rotary members are business and professional leaders who provide humanitarian service, encourage high ethical standards and help build goodwill and peace in the world.
