Forbes: Pack worth $1.02 bil.
GREEN BAY, Wis. -- Forbes magazine says the Green Bay Packers have held their value during a time when the overall value of NFL teams has fallen 2 percent.
The business magazine says the team is worth $1.02 billion, the same as last year and matching the league average.
The magazine says the value of other teams is down in part because the bad economy has reduced demand.
According to the Green Bay Press-Gazette, Forbes says the No. 1 team remains the Dallas Cowboys with a value of $1.8 billion. The least valuable team was the Jacksonville Jaguars at $725 million.
The Packers are a nonprofit corporation in the smallest market in the National Football League. Still, their value ranks them 14th best out of the 32 NFL teams.
