DeWyze album out in November

Lee DeWyze's debut album will be released on Nov. 16, 19 Recordings/RCA Records announced on Thursday.

DeWyze, the winner of this season's "American Idol" competition, has been on the nationwide American Idols Live Tour the entire summer, writing and recording the music for his debut.

"I've been very fortunate to be able to collaborate with some amazing songwriters on new songs over the past three months," said DeWyze in a statement. "I can't wait for everyone to hear my debut album."

DeWyze, a Mount Prospect native, is a self-taught musician who has been singing and playing the guitar since his early teenage years.
