Mt. Prospect gave us the boost we needed

Regarding the Susan G. Komen three-day breast cancer walk through Mount Prospect: My three daughters and I walked this past week in the breast cancer walk.

We were overwhelmed by the wonderful response from the Mount Prospect Fire Department, Police Department and all the residents who went all out to welcome us and offer support, cheers and lots of love along with candy, drinks, cookies and ice pops.

Lawns were decorated, balloons were flying and we saw some amazing costumes. What a wonderful welcome!

It is very important to each and every walker because by Saturday, we were hurting, had many blisters, wrapped ankles, knees and feet, and we were tired.

It was the boost we needed to keep us going. Thanks a bunch to all of you!
