Walsh will be accessible
During the last 18 months, I have written numerous letters to U.S. Rep. Melissa Bean concerning the status of certain legislation. I have not encouraged her to take a certain position. I have merely requested information regarding the status of legislation proposed by President Obama in the 2008 presidential campaign.
However, I have yet to receive the requested information from Rep. Bean or her office. I have either received no response or, worse yet, a non-response response. Whenever I have shared such experiences with others, I have heard similar accounts regarding Melissa Bean's unresponsiveness.
When the voters go to the polls in November, they will consider a number of issues. Two things I would urge them to consider are: Is my representative in Congress accessible to his or her constituents? Does my representative listen to me?
Joe Walsh has promised accessibility to his constituents if elected as representative of the 8th Congressional District of Illinois. I would urge all of the voters of this district give him positive consideration.
