Your news: Tennis Fun Fest Aug. 7 in Elk Grove

On Saturday Aug. 7, the eighth annual Sara Jackson Memorial Tennis Fun Fest will be held at Elk Grove High School, Elk Grove Blvd. and Arlington Heights Road.

Sara Jackson graduated from Elk Grove High School 1995. A highly respected athlete and beloved personality at Elk Grove High School, Jackson lettered in four sports and excelled especially in tennis. She went on to UIC on full scholarship to set records on the court and was posthumously inducted into the UIC Athletic Hall of Fame.

To honor her memory, a scholarship is given to a college bound Grenadier senior athlete who aspires to Jackson's legacy of positive athletic and scholastic achievement.
