Dallas shoulder pad 'spat' over

Cowboys receiver Roy Williams can't even get his 4-year-old son to carry his shoulder pads.

"Man, I can't get anybody to carry them," Williams joked Monday. "I'm mad at him too."

A day after the drama created when first-round pick Dez Bryant refused to carry the veteran's pads off the field after practice, a long-standing rookie ritual, Williams said it was "not a big deal" and that the teammates were fine with each other.

Changes brewing in Seattle: Tod Leiweke is resigning as CEO of Vulcan Sports and Entertainment, the arm that oversees ownership of the Seattle Seahawks, Portland Trail Blazers and Seattle Sounders FC.

The announcement was made by Vulcan on Monday morning. In a statement, Leiweke says he's leaving to become CEO and part owner of the NHL's Tampa Bay Lightning.

Leiweke has been with Vulcan for seven years, starting as CEO of the Seahawks before taking on responsibilities covering the Trail Blazers and Sounders. All three teams are owned by Paul Allen.
