'I want a doer not a talker'

My oldest grandson said he liked President Clinton, because when he was caught in a lie he could always say, so what? The President lies. My teenage granddaughter said she didn't like President Bush because he started a war.

When I asked my youngest grandson what he was angling to be, he said, "President!" When I asked why, he answered, "Because when I run out of money, I can always print more."

Me? I don't want anybody to be President that hasn't run a business - at least a 7-Eleven. I don't want a President who takes my money and throws it against the wall to see what sticks, like spaghetti. I don't want a President who burns the midnight oil on Christmas Eve to try to push through a bill.

I want a uniter; one that would say, "Gentlemen, lets shake hands, go home, and enjoy the holidays with our families. When we get back, we can put the gloves back on and go at it." I want a uniter who, when the other side offers to work together to forge a bill, jumps at the chance to bring both sides together. I don't want laws stacked a foot high.

Most of all, I want a doer, not a talker.
