Kirk would help restore balance

A vote for Mark Kirk for U.S. Senate is a vote for the return of the two-party system in the United States and in Illinois, a state that has been marked by the corruption of representatives from both parties.

While there may be plenty of flaws in such a system, it is one that theoretically brings equilibrium to government. Let us not forget that the recent decade under Republican power saw plenty of harmful decisions, which brought the country to its knees financially and politically.

The Democrats inherited the mess, but even with a majority can't seem to turn it around. By putting Mark Kirk in the U.S. Senate, we have an opportunity to bring balance and moderation back to government. In an era of extremists, Kirk promises rationality, balance and the hope of finding common ground to allow government officials to get something accomplished.
