Your news: Jesse White Tumblers amaze D96 students, staff

District 96 Kildeer Countryside students, grades 1–5 were treated to a performance by the Jesse White Tumblers Thursday, Dec. 16, in their school gym. The performance was sponsored by the Kildeer Countryside PTO.

The tumblers performed two morning programs, attended by students and staff.

Illinois Secretary of State Jesse White directed his team and told his student audience about his current job and the experiences that led him to coach the Jesse White Tumblers. He discussed the dedication and discipline that is required of a tumbler and called on a few team members to demonstrate basic moves such as the forward roll, the cartwheel, and the flip-flop. He also warned the young audience members not to go home to their own living rooms and try what they were about to see.

The students and their teachers were thrilled by the fast-paced, exuberant performance.
