Grave wreckers should fix damage

It would serve the people who vandalized two McHenry cemeteries and our county much better if these youths were put to work repairing the damage they caused, writing letters of apology to any living relatives of the deceased, and required to work in both cemeteries until they earn enough money to replace each headstone damaged.

Incarceration makes no inroads with such delinquency; hard work does. One sees the devastation when one has to clean, repair, replace and apologize for reckless and thoughtless FUN behavior. Everything is a joke until you have to clean up.

Hopefully these youths can be treated with the utmost respect, and expectation that they will clean, repair, replace, and apologize for their reckless and thoughtless behavior learning that it was not fun, but destructive and insensitive behavior, to say the least.
