Santa, Mrs. Claus coming to Lake in the Hills Friday

The village of Lake in the Hills will kick off the holiday season when Santa and Mrs. Claus come to town Friday, Dec. 3. They'll arrive at the village hall, 600 Harvest Gate, by fire truck to perform the Festival of Trees tree-lighting ceremony at 6 p.m.

Santa will be on hand to note any last-minute additions to the Christmas lists. There will be photo opportunities with Santa and refreshments will be served.

The annual Festival of Trees, sponsored by the parks and recreation department, is one of the year's largest food drives with for the Lake in the Hills/Algonquin Food Pantry and the Grafton Township Food Pantry for distribution during the holiday season.

Trees will remain on display through Dec. 25, so vote for your favorite.
