Hanover Twp. came out for the troops
On behalf of the Hanover Township Officials and the Freedom Bash 2010 Planning Group, I would like to thank the community for their generous donations to our troops during Freedom Bash 2010 that took place on June 11 and 12.
Due to the tremendous support, Hanover Township was able to send over two truckloads of comfort items to America's bravest serving overseas.
This annual event began in 2004 as an idea from a high school student who was concerned not enough was being done for our troops. Originally a 24-hour event to accept donations, over the years we have grown and expanded into a two-day festival with live music, a car show and VIP tent for veterans of the armed services.
For those who were not able to make it to the event, we are still accepting donations at the township office, 250 S. Route 59, in Bartlett.
Next year will be better than ever and we're counting on everyone's support! Clear your calendars on June 10 and 11 of next year for Freedom Bash 2011.
Thank you again to everyone who dropped off donations to support our troops.
