Kirk only told truth after he got caught

The June 1 Daily Herald has a brief article and pictures of the two candidates, Kirk is to "fix" any incorrect military claims and chastised Giannoulias for spending money scrutinizing his records.

First, he should know better that everyone's records and life are scrutinized when they run for public office.

Second, For 10 years he's been saying he won a personal award, when it was his unit that won an award.

That's something you don't make a mistake about. Come on, he was just outright lying.

Now that he got caught, he'll fix it? Haven't we heard this before? Oh, I forgot to pay my taxes, but now that I'm caught I'll pay them. Lots of folks have used this one before.

What about him slamming Giannoulias for his families bank going under? Slam Slam, nothing is out of bounds.

This lie that wasn't corrected for 10 years puts me off Mr. Kirk right off the bat.
