Rush sign WIU wideout, 3 others
The Chicago Rush adjusted its roster in advance of this Saturday's game with the Milwaukee Iron.
The Rush signed quarterback Brett Hall (6-3, 215, Albany), wide receivers Slyvelle Newton (6-1, 210, South Carolina) and Marco Thomas (6-0, 190, Western Illinois), and lineman Chris Merkle (6-3, 265, Montclair State).
Hall will serve as the backup quarterback for J.J. Raterink until quarterback Russ Michna returns to the team, while Newton and Thomas will add depth to the injury depleted wide receiving corps.
