McChrystal read the tea leaves and bailed
While I cannot condone the public disrespect for a president by our military, General McChrystal's comments symbolize the nation's frustration with Obama's disabled leadership. McChrystal knew what he was doing by provoking Obama; he wants out of trying to fight a war while hamstrung by the White House. What do Rahm Emmanuel and David Axelrod (remember him?) know about combat?
Barak Obama is the CEO of America. His recent oil spill speech was underwhelming and more political stumping for his agenda. His lethargy and indifference regarding the BP oil spill recently invited the rage of Democrat James Carville. Since then, Obama has made several trips to Louisana.
The White House has done nothing for immigration reform, failed to keep a promise to our Hispanic community and has avoided the issues that Arizona and now Nebraska are taking into their own hands. Obama's one-year addiction to health are reform has misread the nation's real needs: jobs.
This is obvious in Obama's knee-jerk reaction to place a moratorium on off-shore drilling at a time when the BP debacle has put careers and businesses out of existence forever. It is now clear that Obama is at best an articulate incompetent - a dangerous combination. He will be a one-term president. McChrystal read the tea leaves and got out; Obama hasn't smelled the coffee yet.
