Wild re-sign prospects Kassian and Prosser

ST. PAUL, Minn. -- The Minnesota Wild have re-signed prospects Matt Kassian and Nate Prosser.

The deals were announced by the team on Wednesday. Kassian, a left wing, gets a two-year contract. Prosser, a defenseman, gets a one-year contract. Both players signed two-way contracts, meaning they'd make less money in the minors if and when they're sent down.

The 23-year-old Kassian led Houston in penalty minutes with 149 last season. The team's second-round draft pick in 2005, Kassian had six points in 59 games for the Aeros in the AHL.

The 24-year-old Prosser was signed in March as a free agent out of Colorado College. The native of Elk River appeared in the last three games of the regular season for the Wild, becoming the sixth Minnesotan to appear in a game for the team.
