Historical group meets:Huntley residents have formed a new group to study and educate the community about Huntley's history. The Huntley Historical Society will have its first general membership meeting at 1 p.m. on Saturday, June 26, at Faith Community Church, 10547 Faiths Way, Huntley. Call (847) 669-5952.Cary parks get donation:The Cary Lions Club has donated $1,500 to the Cary Park District to fund the purchase of a defibrillator. The district, which already had five of the devices, needed another in the event of a cardiac emergency at the park district's preschool building in Lions Park, which has seen an increase in programming for adults and children.Volunteers for recycling program:Kane County is seeking adult volunteers to assist with its electronics recycling program. Volunteers are needed to help unload electronics equipment such as computers, televisions and telephones from the public's vehicles. The program operates on the second Friday and Saturday of each month at the Circuit Clerk building on Randall Road in St. Charles. Since the program began in 2001, more than 38,000 residents and businesses have recycled more than 4.3 million pounds of used electronics.
